Society Empowerment Project (SEP): Founded in 2005, SEP is a registered Community Based Organization (CBO) that operates in the town of Oyugis within the Rachuonyo District in the Nyanza Province in western Kenya. Ravaged by the HIV/AIDS epidemic, this area faces high rates of infection, high poverty rates, significant numbers of orphans, tenuous food security, and limited educational opportunities.

SEP is comprised of over 1250 youth members from ages 10-17. SEP targets impoverished youth who do not have basic food security, resources to attend school, or access to football. SEP is managed by two full-time and three part-time staff and is supported by a team of over 100 volunteers. A seven-member board, composed of local community members, SEP youth members, and staff oversees and advises the organization.
